What do we expect from our guests?

Nadgora Resort is a haven for nature lovers. Most of our guests have escaped the hustle and bustle of the city and found peace here. They spend their days relaxing, walking or engaging in selected activities, while at night they rest in the peace and quiet of the mountains. Therefore, we invite our future guests to limit their behavior during their stay to the needs of other guests, as well as the rules of the Resort and the National Park.

Rules of the Resort

  • Open flames are prohibited anywhere except in home fireplaces. We hope that it is not necessary to explain the danger of fire in the surroundings of wooden houses, on the border of the National Park. This includes all types of fireworks, barbecues, firecrackers and the like.
  • Organized parties are not allowed. We do not respond to inquiries about organizing birthday parties, bachelor parties, and similar celebrations.
  • Noise levels should be limited to not disturbing other guests. Loud music, screams, shouting and loud arguing are not welcome sounds in this environment.
  • Families with children and guests with small pets are welcome! We enjoy the sounds of children playing in our shared yard. Of course, parents should be careful that their children do not overdo it and disturb other guests with their activities.
  • There were guests who were not informed about the place they were coming to, so they had completely wrong expectations. Please carefully read the information we have published on the website and thereby prevent dissatisfaction for you, as guests, and us, as hosts.

What can you expect at Nadgora Resort?

  • Winters can be very cold, with lots of snow. Bring appropriate clothing and waterproof shoes.
  • In the spring, the mountain snow melts. The earth cannot absorb such large amounts of water, that's why a large part of our surroundings is covered by smaller and larger lakes. The days are usually warm and sunny, ideal for walking, but be sure to have waterproof shoes.
  • Summer temperatures are ideal, it's never too hot here. From July to the end of September, every day can be used for outdoor activities. You should monitor the weather forecast, as short-lived but very strong summer storms are possible in the mountains. As for the animal world - the only thing that can bother you is mosquitoes, mainly in the evening.
  • Autumn days on the mountain are wonderful, the entire mountain is a thousand colors. The days are warm even in November, but some years the snow falls early, and by mid-November you can be in a completely winter atmosphere.

What activities are available to guests?

"Everything but surfing" - is our answer when guests ask us that question. A more accurate answer would be: "Everything you've ever heard that can be done in the mountains".

Activities Rules

  • The list of available activities is adjusted to the time of year and the current situation. So: you can't ski in August or go rafting in March.
  • Reserve your place for a specific activity in advance, preferably when booking your accommodation. Sometimes it is simply not possible to organize a specific activity for the next day.
  • All activities are grouped by difficulty. We believe you know your capabilities. If you are not sure - ask before booking what to expect at the activity you are interested in.
  • For certain activities, all guests receive the equipment they need upon departure. This especially applies to adrenaline activities, such as canyoning, climbing, paragliding and others. However, guests are expected to wear appropriate footwear and clothing for the activity. The climb to Durmitor Peak cannot be done in slippers!
  • Each activity is led by a professional and experienced guide. Their job is to ensure that you spend the day safely, enjoying what you are doing, as well as to inform and educate you.
  • If you are our guest on a complete package, activities are included in the package price. If you have registered only for accommodation and meals - each activity is paid separately, before departure.

What can you expect on activities?

  • To be safe.
  • That you will learn, find out and see a lot of new things.
  • That you will participate only in those activities for which you are physically and mentally ready, according to the guide's assessment.
  • That the agreed activity will be canceled in the event of inclement weather or extraordinary circumstances, and your payment will be refunded.
  • That the group you go with for a certain activity will be made up of people with similar physical predispositions.
  • That for activities that require special equipment (canyoning, rafting, paragliding, etc.) you will receive certified, high-quality equipment.

Reservation process

Before booking, please inform yourself about our offer. This means reviewing the website, accommodation and food options, and the list of activities offered. It is also important to find out what you can expect at Nadgora Resort, but also to check the rules. The same page lists the most frequently asked questions by our guests, where you may find the answers you are interested in.

Send a message to the email address provided. In the message, be sure to indicate the period in which you wish to stay at Nadgora Resort, the number of guests (number of children if there are any in the group) and other important information related to the guest list. Be sure to include your details (name and surname, where you are from, your contact details).

In your message, you can indicate in which of our houses you want to be accommodated. It is not mandatory, because we can recommend accommodation suitable for your group. Also, in case the house you are interested in is occupied in the requested period - you will receive an alternative offer from us. Don't worry, accommodation in all our houses guarantees approximately equal conditions of stay.

Please include your wishes and interests in your message. The fastest way to communicate is to immediately write which services from our offer you are interested in.

Reservation Rules

  • You will receive a confirmation of your reservation by e-mail.
  • The reservation is considered definitive only after payment of the deposit.
  • Reservation changes and cancellations involve the retention of a portion of the deposit. The amount of the portion retained depends on the number of days until the scheduled arrival.
  • Some of the offers can be ordered after arrival, mainly activities. However, to be sure that a certain offer can be realized, we recommend that you request it when booking your accommodation.

Resort

Are there cable television programs in the houses?

No. There are no TVs in the houses. We believe our guests have much better ways to spend their time here.

Is there internet?

Of course! High-speed WiFi internet is available throughout the entire Nadgora Resort.

Are there bathrooms in every house?

Take a look at the photos and descriptions of each house. You will see that each one has a modern bathroom.

Is it possible to stay in a wooden house during the winter?

The wooden house is extremely warm during the winter, already half an hour after lighting the fire in the fireplace - you can stay in, dressed only in a T-shirt. During the summer, our houses have an ideal temperature - wooden walls are the best insulation.

May I organize a party for my friends at Nadgora Resort?

No.

Please, may I organize a party? We will be very quiet, there will be no loud music or fireworks.

We don't know. You can't do it on the territory of Nadgora Resort and Durmitor National Park, we are sure of that.

Activities

Is it dangerous?

No. If you do what the guide tells you.

Are there any wild animals on Durmitor?

Yes. But there is no record of their attack on humans since the time of our grandfathers.

Is it possible to cancel or change the agreed activity?

Maybe. It depends on the type of activity, cancellation time, and a lot of other factors. We recommend that you familiarize yourself with the offer and choose in advance the activities you want to do while staying at Nadgora Resort.

Are children allowed to go to all activities?

The description of each activity indicates who it is intended for. Activities intended for children are clearly marked with the age from which they can be practiced. Some of the activities exist in different variants, so it is necessary to indicate the age of the children in the application, if there are any on the list of participants.

What happens in the event of an accident or other emergency?

If you follow your guide's instructions, you won't have any accidents. However, in the event of any accident, Durmitor has a very high-quality Mountain Rescue Service, very well equipped and trained for rescue in all types of emergency circumstances.
